Abstract
Tuscany is an Italian region, subjected to seismic hazard, like the rest of the country. The seismic hazard is lower than in other Italian areas, but the earthquakes have caused many damages in the past. The most common reaction of communities to emergencies is moving. The population migrates, and its houses are rebuilt somewhere else. That happens in many seismic areas but not in Italy which is a peculiar country, highly density built, and with communities attached to their land. When an earthquake occurs people try to keep their homes as much as possible, even when it is unacceptable. This project is focused on the post-emergency strategy related to a hypothetic Tuscan earthquake. If moving is not a chance, the option for the population is facing the possible changes in order to assure a possible life nearby. This is possible only if the infrastructures assure a functionality even in the post-emergency scenario. This project aims to check our Regional Health System, with reference to the seismic hazard. The functionality of the Health system also depends on the transport network, which assure the possibility to reach the First Aid Centers ; a global rating of the most significant information is proposed.
