Abstract
SAVIT project (Salgar transitional housing) is located in Salgar Antioquia, Colombia. Thought from the avalanche that occurred in May of 2013, which devastated with the urban center and nearby villages. Our proposal consists of a temporary housing (max. 6 months) designed since the rural life of those families and their relationship with the immediate environment. The development of this project is made by common materials of the region. The guadua is the main material because it is appropriate for its economy, comfort and is a highly renewable resource, ideal for later situations of disasters. The structure is made of this material and its palafite character is ideal for inclined terrain with runoff. These temporary housing will be grouped around an equipment where will be the community will have kitchen, nursing and bathrooms. The houses will offer only the spaces for rest, a social space to the interior and a front porch as a typical house. The urban implantation or spatial organization is based on the coffee (coffee plant) with a centrality and its fruits bordering this, where around the equipment are the houses and next to these the main road and its connection to the municipality.
