Abstract
Our team designed a simple way to accommodate and provide proficient housing to the people living in the slums of Jakarta. By maintaining the local traditional construction methods and existing layout of housing in Indonesia, we designed a system to raise the housing above the flood water level. We have provided a framework for the community, allowing the local people to have an impact and influence on their spaces and surroundings. Our team's philosophy is to use an approach the facilitates and provides knowledge and expertise in order to improve the standard of living for the people of Jakarta.
